A comprehensive architectural and interior design project for a house with a flat roof
DB House
2021, Szczecin
DB House | A single-family home in Szczecin designed for a family of four. The building was constructed on the last vacant lot in a densely developed neighborhood—the plot’s location served as both a constraint and the primary inspiration for the design.
The structure consists of three overlapping cuboids, whose arrangement directly reflects the home’s internal functional layout. The building’s modernist character deliberately contrasts with the surrounding architecture, while also connecting to its context through the texture and color scheme of the facade, which is finished with Feldhaus Klinker. From the street, the house appears closed off and inaccessible—it only fully opens up toward the garden and the inner patio.
The geometric garden, designed to complement the building’s silhouette, flows into the interior through a fully glazed patio wall and tall, ceiling-high sliding windows—blurring the line between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The project was developed as a comprehensive concept encompassing architecture, interior design, custom furniture for the development, and landscaping.
