Interior design concept for a flat-roofed house

NB House | The interiors of a single-family home in Szczecin designed for a family of four. Three overlapping building volumes define the internal rhythm of these spaces—open common areas flow freely between the blocks that enclose the private parts of the house, eliminating traditional partition walls.

The interior’s sense of spaciousness is created by the scale and precision of the design elements. Subdued colors and natural materials of the highest quality have been chosen to reflect the space’s timeless character. Large-format porcelain tiles from Italian manufacturers are paired with brushed black granite on the kitchen countertops and fireplace surround. The monochromatic, durable cladding contrasts with the warm oak veneer on the walls—a nod to nature filtering into the interior through the designed glass patio. The countertops of the freestanding kitchen island are made of Laminam slabs.

The centerpiece of the living area is formed by dark, monolithic blocks of tall kitchen cabinets featuring a glass-fronted, backlit display—an element that organizes the shared space and gives it a distinctive character. The separate private zone has been designed as a home sanctuary—a spa—ensuring complete privacy and tranquility. Dimmable lighting—Deltalight, Wever & Ducré, Flos—was selected individually for each zone, adapting it to the users’ changing needs.

The project was developed as a comprehensive concept encompassing architecture, interior design, custom furniture for the development, and landscaping.
