Comprehensive architectural and interior design project for a lakeside home
GC House
2025–2026, Szczecin
GC House | The comprehensive architectural, interior, and landscape design of this small single-family home, located on Lake Głębokie in Szczecin, draws inspiration from the modernist architecture of the 1920s, characteristic of this part of the city. The building is situated on a small corner lot on the waterfront, in the immediate vicinity of a forest, which posed a significant constraint and, at the same time, served as the starting point for shaping the functional layout.
The compact structure of the house is arranged over three levels connected by an elevator, allowing for a clear separation of functions while maintaining a compact form. The spatial layout is designed to interact with the surroundings—the more closed facades facing the street contrast with the fully glazed sections that open the interior to the forest and the lake glimpsed between the trees.
The building’s architecture interprets modernist motifs through the use of a flat roof, a semicircular staircase, and a minimalist design language. The facades are clad in clinker brick in light earth tones, with textures that vary from level to level, subtly altering the perception of the building’s form.
